Rumor has it that Tata Motors is interested in purchasing a large amount of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Augusta. However, it looks as if they might have some competition to go up against first.
Mahindra & Mahindra is a large Indian motorcycle manufacturer who is also looking to get in on a piece of the action and desires to control a stake in the company. India Automotive reports that Mahindra has the ability to get the instant traction in the motorcycle market globally if they were to pick up MV Augusta.
Tata could also use the extra money that could be had from such a large company – which would give them a foothold to release a newer line of better and more powerful machines.
